THE KIRK OFFICE will be closed on Monday, 11 May.

A REMINDER OF THE CHANGE TO WORSHIP TIMES On Sunday, 14 June we will move to the new service times. Services at Cramond will be held at 8.30 am and 9.45 am and the Pennywell service moves to 11.30 am. Monthly joint services will continue to be held at 10.30 am and alternate between the two churches. The joint services are typically held on the first Sunday of the month, except in May when it will be held on Sunday, 10 May to coincide with the annual Christian Aid service followed by a soup lunch in the Hall.

FAIR TRADE STALL There will be no Fair Trade stall in May but the Fair Trade team look forward to seeing you on Sunday, 14 June.

THE 2026 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE CHURCH OF SCOTLAND will meet from 15 – 18 May. Full details of the week including copies of the reports and papers as well as the livestream link to the proceedings are available HERE

THE MEN’S COFFEE & BACON ROLL MORNING is being held in the Bruntsfield Golf Club lounge on Thursday, 14 May from 10.30 am – 12 noon. Cost : £5. Please let Louise in the Kirk Office know if you’d like to attend.

PRAYER SERVICE AT CRAMOND If you are interested in helping lead the 8.30 am Prayer Service at Cramond Kirk on a Sunday (except for the first Sunday of the month), please be in touch. All worship materials will be provided! Please email or call the Cramond Kirk office to note your interest and if you have any questions, please call or email Rev Julia Cato.

THE ENK NEWSLETTER The deadline for submitting items for the June newsletter (fliers, photos etc) is Wednesday, 20 May. Items should be sent to ENKeditors@gmail.com.

CRAMOND COFFEE & CHAT is on every Monday from 10.30 am to 12 noon in the Gathering Space of Cramond Kirk Hall.

‘THE PLACE TO BE’ COFFEE MORNING is held in Pennywell Kirk Hall every Monday at 10 am with a monthly outing and the next outing is on Monday, 25 May with a trip to Galashiels by train. Further details are available from Violetta on 07305 848150. All are welcome.

A PRAYER WALK The next monthly prayer walk around the Pennywell area is being held on Monday, 18 May from 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm finishing at the NEA café for refreshments. A gentle walk and a peaceful time with no expectation to pray. All are welcome. Please meet at Pennywell Kirk garden at 12.45 pm.

NORTH EDINBURGH COMMUNITY FESTIVAL ENK has a stall at the North Edinburgh Community Festival in West Pilton Park next Saturday, 16 May from 12 noon – 5.30 pm. Could you help on the stall for an hour or so? We have some helpers but not enough. If you can help, please leave a message with the Kirk Office or contact Elspeth Harley at eharley@churchofscotland.org.uk. And if you can't help, still come along for a fantastic day out.

ART EXHIBITION & SALE Blackhall St Columba’s Art Club are holding their annual art exhibition & sale from Thursday, 14 – Saturday, 16 May, 10.30 am – 4.30 pm and on Sunday, 17 May, 11.30 am – 1 pm. Entry is free & proceeds will go to Maggie’s Centre.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK

10 – 16 MAY 2026

House to House Deliveries/Collections We have a number of districts still uncovered and would be very grateful for any help delivering to these districts. If you are able to help, please pick up one of the unallocated bags from the Kirk Hall, write your name on the label on the front and let us know which bag you have. The envelopes only need to be delivered. Extra envelopes and sticky labels are available from the Kirk Office.

A Christian Aid Bread & Soup Lunch is being held in Cramond Kirk Hall at the close of the joint service on Sunday, 10 May. The Scouts will also be selling plants.

The Christian Aid Brainteaser Quiz is also available at the main door of the Kirk Hall. Simply pop £1 in the Christian Aid collection tin and help yourself to a copy. This year’s theme is a sport or game and the deadline for completed quizzes is Tuesday, 26 May.

Jennifer Thomson Painting We have been given an original painting by Jennifer Thomson entitled “Alive with Colour : Cramond Village”. The picture is available to view in the Gathering Space of the Kirk Hall. If you wish to bid for the painting, please send your bid, along with your contact details to the Kirk Office by phone or email. There is a minimum bid of £50 and the deadline for receipt of bids is 6 pm on Sunday, 31 May. All proceeds from the sale will go to Christian Aid.

The Christian Aid Book Fair is being held in Edinburgh New Town Church (formerly St Andrew’s and St George’s West) on Saturday, 9 May from 10 am to 4 pm and from Monday, 11 – Friday, 15 May from 12 noon to 6pm. As well as books of every kind, they will also have sheet music, stamps, postcards, toys, games, jigsaws, DVDs & CDs.

CRAMOND DRAMA GROUP invite you to join them for an interactive murder mystery where you’ll enjoy afternoon tea while uncovering clues, questioning suspects and deciding who’s guilty! The murder will take place in Cramond Kirk Halls on Saturday, 6 June from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.  Tickets are available HERE

FRESH START Many thanks for all the recent donations. Donations can be left in the Fresh Start boxes in Cramond Kirk Hall or taken direct to the Fresh Start warehouse at 22-24 Ferry Road Drive which is open from Mon – Thurs, 9 am – 4 pm.

LIVE STREAMING Please note that the 10 am service at Cramond Kirk and the 11 am service at Pennywell Kirk are live streamed to the Kirk website every Sunday morning. The cameras will focus on the front of the Kirks – the pulpit, lectern and Communion Table. However some of those sitting at the front may also be in camera shot. For those of you watching from home, the links to the services can be found HERE.
