CRAMOND KIRK HEATING The overall cost of the electrics and heating at Cramond is in excess of £25,000.  We have approval from the General Trustees to draw on the Consolidated Capital Fabric Fund. However, it has come to our attention that there may be members of the congregation who would like to donate towards the installation of the heating system. If you wish to do so, please make a transfer to Edinburgh Northwest Kirk's bank account : sort code 80-02-19, account no: 00185768 and put “heating” as your reference.

CHRISTIAN AID BRAINTEASER QUIZ & GREETINGS CARDS There were 18 entries to the brainteaser quiz and congratulations must go to the 15 completely correct entries but also many thanks to everyone who bought a copy of the quiz and helped raise an amazing £172. In addition, sales of the greetings cards in the Gathering Space have raised a further £62 for Christian Aid. We are in need of more unused greetings cards to replenish the stand and any donations of cards with envelopes can be left in the card collection box outside the Kirk Office. And a huge thank you to Gill Massie for both her quiz and for looking after the card stand.

FOR FLOWER LOVERS… Dot Pendreigh and Dot Kemp have arranged the Kirk Flowers for many years and for 18 years have been Joint Flower Secretaries. As Dot Pendreigh is moving away and Dot Kemp wishes to step back, from the beginning of August we need someone to take over the administration of the Flower Fund and people to join a rota to arrange flowers throughout the year. The role of Flower Secretary involves operating the Flower Fund account, preparing an annual rota for the weekly removal of flowers, buying paper and oasis and, with the Kirk secretary, preparing the annual flower donors’ list. Please contact Louise if you can help with either the administration or the arranging (which can simply be putting flowers in a vase). The flowers are an important part of our Kirk ministry, as confirmed by the many letters and phone calls of thanks we receive!

PLAYLIST FOR LIFE TRAINING DAY For many years it has been shown that listening to a personal playlist can improve the lives of those living with dementia. On Friday, 19 June an interactive course is being held at Morningside Parish Church explaining the benefits of the playlist and how to integrate it into people’s daily lives. Places are free. If you’d like to find out more or book a place, please contact Jacqui Lindsay, the Pastoral Assistant at Morningside on 07834 364628 or email pastoralassistant@morningsideparishchurch.org.uk

CRAMOND COMMUNITY CHOIR are holding their summer concert in Cramond Kirk Halls on Tuesday, 2 June at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £10 and can be booked through Ian Huggan at iwhuggan@gmail.com.

MORNINGSIDE UMBRELLA FESTIVAL is being held for 2 weeks from 31 May with craft stalls, refreshments, live music and special events. Further details are available HERE.

MOZART’S REQUIEM If you missed yesterday’s performance of Mozart’s Requiem, Jubilo invite you to join them for a Come & Sing Mozart’s Requiem in Blackhall St Columba’s Church on Saturday, 6 June.
