About Us

Cramond Kirk is an historic place, a special place, a sanctuary, a place of prayer, a place of healing and renewal, a friendly place, a celebration of God’s love.

Roots that go deep

There's been a Kirk at Cramond for 700 years, providing stability and constancy which few Scottish congregations today can claim. We're a unique church, at the core of the community. And we like to think no-one can quite match the warmth of our welcome to local people, new arrivals and existing church members.

A kirk for today

We like to make sure that our Kirk keeps pace with the world as people find it and make it. We are very much part of daily life, with all its pleasures and pains, ministering at the heart of our area. We see ourselves as a church for all ages.

Nothing speaks more of a thriving community than to see at worship the young with the elderly, the newly-married couple alongside three generations of the same family.

With the highs and lows of life today, everyone needs people around to relate to, through faith or through friendship.

"There's always a warm welcome at Cramond Kirk"

People who come to Cramond Kirk say they enjoy the sense of Christian fellowship they share with friends and neighbours.

We have a broadminded approach to matters of faith but we find in our Church of Scotland beliefs clear signposts to happy and fulfilling lives.
