WELCOME

CALL TO WORSHIP       (from Psalm 1)

Minister:     Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked but instead delight in wisdom of the Lord.

All:              In God we will delight!

Minister:     They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither.

All:              In God we will delight!

Minister:     God will watch over them and they will prosper.

All:              In God we will delight!

Minister:     Come, you happy people, you who delight in the Lord, let us worship the Lord with gladness.

All:              In God we will delight!

PRAYER OF APPROACH

O God, our teacher and guide,
you draw us to yourself
and welcome us as your beloved children.
Help us to lay aside our envy and selfish ambition,
that we may walk in your ways of wisdom and understanding as servants of your peace 
in the way of Jesus.
